DRY CLEANING
The process called dry cleaning is so-named because garments go in dry and come out dry. During the process however, all items are washed in a special solution which carries detergent and sizing through fabrics.
We dry clean garments and other items in the finest equipment the industry has to offer.
BRIDAL & VINTAGE ITEMS
Your wedding gown is a beautiful reminder of your special day. It may someday be the treasured gown of your daughter or granddaughter. We can press or steam your gown and veil and deliver to your designated location. After the wedding, we can preserved your gown in an archival quality box lined with acid-free tissue paper to protect it from the elements and the effects of time.
WET CLEANING
Occasionally we find that wet cleaning a garment with a care label that calls for dry cleaning-only, produces better results than dry cleaning. We typically determine which process to use by assessing fabric, construction and the types of stains or dirt we find on a garment or household item. In general, water-soluble stains are naturally removed better in water.
Wet cleaning, developed in 1991 and not to be confused with laundry processing, is a non-toxic, environmentally safe alternative to dry cleaning. The one element wet cleaning and laundry have in common is water. There, the similarly ends. We use a computer-controlled washing machine, with special programs, and specially designed biodegradable soaps and conditioners, to insure a great result.
